NIPU by Diego Zapatero
Nipu - Skit between members of both armies Bobung, Gunung Kidul
A botched deal is concluded between the idiot ogre Buto Terong and the cunning court-servant Sembulangu. They are two representatives of the evil army of Prabu Klono, the arch enemy of the hero Prince Panji. The scene is one of the many examples of the use of humorous characters in the Panji story, as humor is considered a fine emotion to express certain qualities, sins or virtues of the human character in Javanese performing arts. This scene was shot in the topeng village of Bobung in Wonosari regency, one of the last surviving topeng groups active in the Province of Yogyakarta.
